“Spreading mal-veiling and shamelessness is on the agenda of the enemy to render the Islamic Republic void.”
This was stated by Tabataba’I, Khamenei’s representative and Friday prayer leader of Isfahan, on the occasion of the Week of Virtue and Veil.
He added, “Covering all the body parts except for the face, feet (up to ankle) and hands (up to the wrist) is obligatory for women. All over the world, veil is a symbol of Islam and Muslims, and it has taken up a political aspect as well.” (State- run Shabestan news agency – July 17, 2016)
