Officials of the misogynist mullahs’ regime continue to prevent women from performing in concerts and this time they have prevented the distribution of CDs with female singers.
State-run Sharq daily wrote, “Noushin Tafi’s soloist album received publication permit from the Guidance Ministry. Female solo singers were never authorized under the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the permit issued by the Guidance Ministry is against the country’s laws.”
Another cleric (Gorgani) had also declared, “Women in this country should not be allowed to sing.”
Hossein Nushabadi, the spokesman of the Guidance Ministry said, “The artist does not sing solos in this album, but sings in mixed performances. Claiming that this is a solo performance is not true.”
