Iran: Agents attack a women’s dress shop and beat up the girls

A number of security forces attacked a large dress shop in Shahr-e Kord and beat up several female salespersons and the owners of the shop. According to the eye witnesses, at 9:30 in the morning as the work had just started and there were just a few customers in the shop, the agents entered the shop in the most brutal fashion and beat up the people, especially the girls under the pretext of mal-veiling and encouraging corruption. Then, they took the owner of the shop Mr. Ahmadi and five female vendors with them.

NCRI Women Committee

We work extensively with Iranian women outside the country and maintain a permanent contact with women inside Iran. The Women’s Committee is actively involved with many women’s rights organizations and NGO’s and the Iranian diaspora.
The committee is a major source of much of the information received from inside Iran with regards to women. Attending UN Human Rights Council meetings and other international or regional conferences on women’s issues and engaging in a relentless battle against the Iranian regime’s misogyny are part of the activities of members and associates of the committee.
