Nastaran Zare’ Manesh, a resident of Tehran, was killed on January 8, 2026, during nationwide popular protests in the Naziabad district of the capital, after being directly shot by regime’s security forces. She was struck by two bullets to the neck and the heart.
Her son said that when his mother was shot, they took her to the hospital by car, where she died in the arms of her 15-year-old son.
Nastaran was 39 years old and the mother of a 10-year-old daughter and a son.
