Medical students from Bushehr died due to malfunction of the airbags
Zahra Mohammadi, Faezeh Ebrahimi, Mohammad Reza Keshtkar, and Mohammad Haqqani, medical students from Bushehr, lost their lives in a car accident due to the failure of the airbags.
On Thursday, June 8, 2023, on the Kazerun-Shiraz road, four medical students from Bushehr named Zahra Mohammadi, Faezah Ebrahimi, Mohammad Reza Keshtkar, and Mohammad Haqqani, who were in the final stages of their studies, died in a road accident.
At the same time, Sassan Hosseinpoor, a nursing student from the same university, also lost his life near Dalaki.
Both accidents occurred with a locally manufactured car, the Peugeot Pars. Despite the car being severely damaged and colliding with the concrete barriers that separate the lanes on the road, the airbags did not function as they should have at that time to protect the occupants of the vehicle from potential harm or death.
The situation of automobile industry as the most profitable sector of Iran’s industries, which is under the control of the marauding gangs of the mullahs’ regime, inflicts more casualties on the Iranian people every day. Hosseini, deputy commander of the traffic police, admitted, “According to the 2022 statistics, 19,491 people lost their lives in traffic accidents, which is a 16% increase compared to the previous year.”
Hosseini added: “In the past ten years, we have not seen any improvement in the quality of domestically produced cars, even by 1% in terms of safety and safety improvement!” In the past 20 years, road accidents have killed more than half a million people in Iran.
