Security forces detained his mother, father, sister, and all second-degree relatives by beating and assaulting them on his birthday night
Security forces continue to put pressure on the families of the victims slain during the 2022-2023 nationwide protests in Iran. On Friday, June 16, 2023, security forces arrest Ali Adinehzadeh, the father, Marzieh Adinehzadeh, the sister, and Reza Adinehzadeh, the uncle of Abolfazl Adinehzadeh.
On the same night, they attacked the village where this family resides near Farooj in North Khorasan. They detained the mother and all relatives of Abolfazl Adinehzadeh, transferring them to an unknown location.
According to reports on social media networks, Goldasteh Hosseini, the mother of Abolfazl Adinehzadeh, along with all aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins, have been detained through beatings and assaults. So far, no information about the detainees’ condition and whereabouts is available.
These arrests were carried out on the night of Abolfazl’s birthday. It was planned that on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 5 p.m., friends and family would gather at his grave in Farooj to commemorate his birthday.
Abolfazl Adinehzadeh, 16, was killed on October 8, 2022, during the protests outside Ferdowsi University in Mashhad. Security forces shot him at close range, and he died due to dozens of pellets shot at him.
The families of the victims of the 2022-2023 Iran uprising celebrate their birthdays at their loved one’s gravesites. These gatherings often turn into anti-regime protests. For this reason, the clerical regime’s security services take action to arrest all members of the Adinehzadeh family to prevent the holding of such ceremonies.
