Some 30 women have been arrested, imprisoned, or summoned to the Intelligence Ministry since March 2016.
Zeinab Jalalian, Qadriyeh Qaderi, and Safieh Sadeghi have been in prison for years and suffer various medical deprivations. They are denied medical leaves.
Afsaneh Bayazidi, Sooma Bazargan, Lavin Karimi, Rojean Ibarahimi, Delnia Sabri, Safa Hassanpour, and Soheila Zobairi have been sentenced to jail on political and security charges.
Shahla Vakili, Sara Mirani, Ladan Sohrabi, Sheida Rahimi, Sholeh Goudarzi, Sarina Sarvat, Sahar Faizi, Manijeh Fatehi, Laila Hatimi, Kajal Hosseini, Bahareh Arefi Sheikh, Rojean Rezaii, Parastoo Hajian and Esrean Amin have been arrested, mostly on security charges.
Soheila Mohammadi, Rojean Bahrami, Najibeh Salehzadeh and Troskeh Veisi were summoned for civil activities.
Khadijeh Esmaeli, Shadieh and Ehsan Fattahi’s mother were also summoned and pressured because of the activities of their husband or sons.
