In remarks about women, Tehran Municipality’s cultural and social affairs deputy, mullah Amroudi, acknowledged: “Many accommodations in the city can be used only by men and women cannot use them.”
The municipality has never implemented any plans to help women use the city’s accommodations, he added.
In another shocking revelation, he uncovered the city’s plan to erect walls in some districts in the capital ostensibly to provide for security but that is actually part of a gender segregation plan to be implemented in the coming year.
Amroudi also pointed out that twin areas are also going to be created in sports arenas so that when families go to these places, men and women can refer to their own sections.
