In a workshop discussion on “promoting virtue and forbidding evil” it was revealed that people oppose those who confront improperly veiled women. “Many of those involved in this activity are protested.”
Ahmad Akbarpour, member of the Faculty of Theology at Ferdowsi University, called on the government to support those members of paramilitary Bassij who forbid evil: “Officials’ support for those enforcing the plan can give them spirit and feeling of power.”
