In the first 6 months of this year, 285 homeless people have been identified and arrested in the city of Birjand, most of them were women, the official in charge of the center for homeless people in this city reported.
Mansoureh Amir Abadi, referred to the number of homeless people arrested from March to September and said, “These numbers consist of 114 men and 171 women.”
“The number of homeless women has risen 11% in this period in comparison to last year,” she added.
