Iranian security and military forces have prevented the burial of a Bahai woman, ‘Baji Mohammadi-Far’, in Golestan Javid, the cemetery of Baha’is in Sanandaj, western Iran. The family of this Bahai citizen has been told she will never be allowed to be buried there.
“The body of Ms. Mohammadi Far has been taken out of the morgue for two days now and it is being held by her family in water and ice,” an informed source said. Bahais have been denied burial and many of their cemeteries have been destroyed across Iran. In addition to religious persecution, this is yet another human rights violation against the innocent Baha’is.
