Audio message from PMOI political prisoner Parisa Kamali on the anniversary of the founding of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran
Political prisoner Parisa Kamali marked the 61st anniversary of the founding of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in an audio message delivered via phone from Yazd Central Prison.
In her message, she expressed that her political awareness and commitment to freedom are rooted in the path paved by the PMOI, emphasizing that the movement remains a beacon of hope for all those striving for a free, democratic, and prosperous Iran.
Parisa Kamali, born in 1986 and a geography student, was arrested in April 2024 in Isfahan on charges including “membership in the PMOI/MEK.” She was initially sentenced to six years in prison, which was later reduced to three and a half years. She was subsequently transferred to Yazd Central Prison.

A Humanizing Organization Built on Honesty and Sacrifice
If today I am standing on the right side of history, I owe it to the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), which was founded on September 6, 1965, by three great men—Mohammad Hanifnejad, Said Mohsen, and Ali-Asghar Badizadegan—and preserved through the wisdom of Massoud Rajavi to reach us today.
What a blessed day this is. The existence of a humanizing organization built on honesty and sacrifice, which throughout its 61-year history of struggle against every form of dictatorship, both the Shah and the mullahs, has forged a star-studded path. A path lined with blood, borne out by the sacrifice of over 30,000 martyrs, leading toward freedom, justice, and prosperity.
My organization, you illuminate my eyes,
O all my body and soul.
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran is the very movement that opened my eyes to the truth. Today, it is not only a source of hope for me (audio interruption: “This call originates from Yazd Prison and the caller is an inmate”), but a name I shout with every drop of my blood and every fiber of my being. Thus, my blessing is complete.
