Saba Rezaei: Fighting for a Free Iran – Free from the Shah and the Mullah:
On Saturday, October 25, Free Iran2025 Youth Gathering was held in London, Paris, Bonn, and Zurich with a large turnout of young supporters of the Iranian Resistance. Representatives from over 30 youth associations from various fields shared their perspectives. This conference, held on the eve of the anniversary of the November 2019 uprising and attended by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, featured a speech by Saba Rezaei on behalf of the European, American, Canadian, and Australian Youth Communities and Associations:
We shall, we can and we must.
We refuse to trade one dictator for another wearing a crown. Monarchy in Iran has always meant oppression, patriarchy, and a system built to protect its own power while the people suffer. The crown will not free us. The crown only serves itself. No King in the past, present, or future, will deliver the democracy that the people of Iran deserve. The same structure that enabled the brutality of the Shah only reinforces new forms of control: new relationships with the IRGC, new excuses and justifications to silence, to imprison, to punish, and to kill.
Saba Rezaei said: Our fight is for a Free Iran—free from the Shah and free from the Mullah. Our struggle is for a democratic country based on the separation of religion and state, an unwavering vision defined by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi. A never-ending hope. We shall, we can, and we must. Thank you.
