The NCRI Women’s Committee is proud to announce the annual International Women’s Day Conference, hosted by the Iranian democratic opposition, taking place on Saturday, 22 February 2025 in Paris, France. This year’s event holds special significance as it aligns with the themes of CSW69 (2025), shining a global spotlight on women’s rights and gender equality.
The 2025 conference will honor the fearless struggle of Iranian women against oppression, spotlighting their resistance to the repressive laws and measures designed to control and silence their voices. Beyond the compulsory hijab, Iranian women are standing up to the entirety of the regime’s injustices, including its crimes against society, economy, culture, ecology, ethnicities, and religions. They are fighting not only for their own freedom but for a brighter future for all Iranians.
Inspired by the vision of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), this movement stands firm with the need for participation of women in political leadership and with the rallying cry: No to Compulsory Veil, No to Compulsory Religion, No to Compulsory Government. This powerful message has ignited widespread support among courageous young women and men across Iran.
This international gathering will bring together distinguished women leaders—including former heads of state, Members of Parliament, and renowned activists—to elevate the voices of Iran’s women and rally global support for their cause. The conference will serve as a vital platform to showcase their resilience and reaffirm our collective commitment to freedom, equality, and justice.
