Day 50 of Iran uprising was marked by angry protests and 40-day memorials.
On Day 50 of Iran uprising, Friday, November 4, 2022, the people of Isfahan gathered in Bagh-e Rezvan Cemetery to commemorate Shirin Alizadeh on the 40th day after her death. The 35-year-old mother of a 7-year-old child, Shirin Alizadeh was shot in the face when filming the repressive forces from a passing car.
Security forces had blocked the roads to the cemetery since early morning, however, they could not prevent the gathering. The crowd of protesters chanted, “Every one person killed has 1,000 behind him/her.” Security forces used sound grenades and pellet guns and fired tear gas at the participants.
Isfahan also saw additional gatherings of disgruntled citizens in Charbagh district of the provincial capital and in Shahinshahr, where protesters gathered to commemorate another young soul fallen for freedom, Mohammad Hossein Torkaman, on his 40th day.
Protesters vowed to remain loyal to the sacrifice of the martyrs to the end.
Angry protests in Sistan-and-Baluchestan with 8 dead and dozens wounded
In the meantime, the southeastern province of Sistan-and-Baluchestan saw angry protests in the capital, Zahedan, and the cities of Khash, Saravan, Suran, Rusk, Iranshahr, etc.
Thousands marched in the streets of Zahedan. Angry protesters shouted, “Death to Khamenei,” “Death to the (IRGC paramilitary) Bassij,” “Seyed Ali (Khamenei) is overthrown this year!”
Security forces opened fire on worshipers in Khash as they walked out of the Friday Prayer, killing and wounding dozens of people.
Sistan-and-Baluchestan has so far suffered the highest death toll during the Iran uprising.
Friday is a holiday in Iran, but Iranian youths took to the streets in various districts of Tehran, Ahvaz, Bandar Abbas, Bushehr, Bandar Lengeh, Rasht, Sanandaj, Oshnavieh, Karaj, and held angry protests against the clerical regime.
