Some 100 cities in 29 provinces across Iran saw another nationwide strike by Iranian teachers on Saturday, January 29, 2022.
Female teachers were remarkably active in these sit-in strikes.
The nationwide strike by Iranian teachers comes in the wake of extensive demonstrations and protests on December 2, 11, 12, 13, 23, 28, and January 13.
Iranian teachers demand full implementation of the Teachers Ranking Plan, to receive salaries as much as 80 percent of the science faculty of universities. Retired teachers also want their salaries justified to the current inflation rate. The teachers also demand the release of arrested teachers who remain in detention.
The nationwide strike by Iranian teachers is going to continue on January 30 and 31.

Iranian nurses and health care staff held protests in 20 cities across the country on Saturday, January 29, 2022. They protested the 89-day contracts and their dire employment conditions. The health care staff want their employment conditions changed.
The Iranian nurses and health care staff held protests in Isfahan, Mashhad, Shiraz, Asadabad, Pol-e Dokhtar, Tehran, Lasht Nesha, Rasht, Firuzabad, Rostam, Kuvar, Rudsar, Ahvaz, Bukan, Bushehr, Kermanshah, Urmia, Sanandaj, Hamedan, Yasuj, etc.
Female nurses took part extensively in these protests.
