The Ministry of Intelligence has stepped up its pressure on mothers of execution victims and Sunni families.
The families’ phones have been cut off and they have been forced to sign written pledges to refrain from holding funeral ceremonies or printing the photos of their loved ones.
On August 2, 2016, twenty-five young Sunni prisoners were hanged collectively in Gohardasht Prison, Karaj. The families had been summoned for a last visit with their loved ones, but were presented with their lifeless bodies.
