In his Friday prayer’s speech in Tehran on April 29, 2016, mullah Ahmed Khatami paved the way for further suppression of Iranian women and girls under the pretext of mal-veiling.
“We would not consider counterrevolutionary any boy or girl who is badly dressed. They may have been deceived by the Devil… However, no one should deny that there is an enemy plot at work,” he said.
“The twenty-six agencies (assigned to this task) must get involved. More than 310 duties have been defined for them. The social Moral Security plan includes the campaign against improper veiling. Only the law enforcement officers of the State Security Force have engaged in this area. Thank you, indeed.”
