Sedigheh Moradi and Mahvash Shahriari, two political prisoners held in Evin Prison’s women’s ward, were sent to a hospital. The two prisoners were sent from Evin Prison to Tehran’s Tajrish Hospital for MRI exams.
Sedigheh Moradi was arrested on May 1, 2011 in Tehran and transferred to Evin Prison. She was sentenced to ten years prison on charges of ‘moharebeh’ (enmity against God) and connections with opposition groups.
Mahvash Shahriari is one of the 7 Baha’is arrested in March 2008. She has been condemned to 20 years prison.
