Iranian broadcasting organization to implement gender segregation

According to the state-run ILNA news agency the state radio-TV deputy has ordered the radio network directors to separate men and women colleagues in the work environment. According to these changes, women will be ordered to leave all rooms directed by men.

Currently, directors of various radio networks, including Sports Radio, Economics Radio and Youth Radio have started implementing these new guidelines.

The gender segregation policy in Iran has always been protested by civil and women’s rights activists. State radio-TV has always been under Khamenei’s direct supervision.

NCRI Women Committee

We work extensively with Iranian women outside the country and maintain a permanent contact with women inside Iran. The Women’s Committee is actively involved with many women’s rights organizations and NGO’s and the Iranian diaspora.
The committee is a major source of much of the information received from inside Iran with regards to women. Attending UN Human Rights Council meetings and other international or regional conferences on women’s issues and engaging in a relentless battle against the Iranian regime’s misogyny are part of the activities of members and associates of the committee.
