While various reports indicate the “Mahabad incident” case (referring to the death of Farinaz Khosravani) has been closed by the Iranian regime’s Minister of Interior, the lawyer following up on this portfolio said, “This case remains open and investigations are continuing.
The Khosravani family has filed a lawsuit against Nader Moludi, the owner of Hotel Tara, and the main suspect of this case by the name of Morteza Hashemi-vand.”
On the final result of this case in the judiciary, the lawyer said, “To this day the result of the Farinaz case has been unclear and no convictions have been ordered by the court in this regard.”
A few days ago Rouhani’s Ministry of Interior announced the “Mahabad incident” has been closed without providing any results.
Farinaz Khosravani, an employee of Hotel Tara, threw herself out of the fourth floor of this building on 4 May to escape rape by an agent of the Ministry of Intelligence. Khosravani was 26, lived in Mahabad and had a Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
