Mohammad Bagheri Bonab, a member of the Iranian regime’s Majlis (parliament) said, “Even if veiled women appear in TV ads, it is still considered wrong under sharia terms. Their presence along with men in ads is considered a type of gender mixture which is also considered wrong.
The Majlis’ Cultural Commission and the surveillance apparatuses must give necessary warnings to the Radio and TV Organization on the use of women in commercials,” he emphasized.
