Iran: Advisor to women’s affairs in Interior Ministry: My daughter & I don’t go to stadiums!

Fahimeh Farahmandpour, advisor on women and family affairs to the Iranian regime’s Minister of Interior said for women to go to stadiums there needs to be a presence of cultural fundamentals, moral and physical securities and a way to scrutinize unpredictable events in stadiums! 

She stressed that if women were to be able to go to stadiums, she and her daughter would not go and added, “The presence of women in stadiums is not among any of my top 10 priorities!”

ABOUT US

NCRI Women Committee

We work extensively with Iranian women outside the country and maintain a permanent contact with women inside Iran. The Women’s Committee is actively involved with many women’s rights organizations and NGO’s and the Iranian diaspora.
The committee is a major source of much of the information received from inside Iran with regards to women. Attending UN Human Rights Council meetings and other international or regional conferences on women’s issues and engaging in a relentless battle against the Iranian regime’s misogyny are part of the activities of members and associates of the committee.
