Campaign to Support Protesting Women in Iran
Thousands of Iranian women took to the streets in nationwide protests to demand freedom, justice, and equality. For their participation, many of them faced intense pressure, arrest, and threats. Currently, they endure harsh conditions in the ruling regime’s medieval prisons, where some are subjected to torture or are facing death sentences.
Over the years, Iranian women have played a role far beyond mere participation in protests. In many instances, they have stood at the very frontlines of protest movements, playing an active and influential role in shaping, leading, and organizing rallies. This extensive and continuous presence has transformed them into one of the primary and most impactful forces in the trend of social protests in Iran.
This campaign was established with the objective of supporting these women, working to prevent their suppression, and amplifying their voices to international public opinion. This initiative represents one of our most vital efforts in supporting the struggle of Iranian women for their fundamental rights.
We pursue our activities across several specific areas:
- Documentation and Research: Gathering information, narratives, and data regarding the situation of protesting women, and recording them as credible documentation.
- Awareness and Public Campaigns: Designing and executing online and offline awareness campaigns to draw public attention to the conditions of imprisoned women in Iran.
- International Activities and Human Rights Relations: Holding meetings, dialogues, and collaborating with human rights organizations and political dignitaries to strengthen global support—specifically regarding the abolition of death sentences for female prisoners, and advancing campaigns for the release of women imprisoned for participating in uprisings or for aiding the wounded and demonstrators.
- Events and Field Programs: Organizing exhibitions, rallies, book stands, panels, and public programs to directly present realities and documentation.
Your support ensures these voices continue to be heard and seen.
