Mina Amirzadeh was originally from Mashhad and lived in Tehran. A dedicated young woman, she took to the streets alongside her father on Friday, January 9, 2026, like many others, to voice her protest.
Their presence, however, turned into tragedy when security forces opened direct fire on them.
Mina was riding on the back of a motorcycle alongside her father when a bullet struck her in the throat. Moments later, she died in her father’s arms. Following her martyrdom, her body was transferred to Kahrizak, and her family came under severe security pressure to receive their daughter’s body. Nevertheless, the 40th-day memorial ceremony for this martyr of the path to freedom was held with widespread and passionate public participation.
Mina was only 25 years old when she was killed. She was a microbiology student at Kavian Higher Education Institute in Mashhad.
