Stop Execution of Women Campaign: Defending Human Life and Dignity

The execution of women in Iran is one of the most brutal forms of state-sponsored organized violence against women—a level of violence that no other government in contemporary history has inflicted so extensively upon defenseless women and girls. Many of the women and girls executed by the mullahs’ regime were previously victims of domestic violence and discriminatory laws, having acted in defense of their own lives and dignity. These executions represent not only the termination of a human life, but the perpetuation of a continuous cycle of injustice and oppression.

These executions are apart from thousands of women executed in the 1980s and during the 1988 massacre of political prisoners. Presently, at least four women political prisoners, including Zahra Shahbaz Tabari, are facing death sentences.

We actively work to halt the death penalty—particularly the execution of women—and strive through international actions, public awareness, and pressure on the Iranian regime to protect the lives and dignity of Iranian women and girls.

Behind every name is a life cut short. Your help can show that they have not been forgotten. Today, you can be a part of the hope these women desperately need.

Campaign Objectives

    • Amplifying the voices of defenseless prisoners and victims of execution to the international community.
    • Raising public and international awareness regarding the catastrophic human scale of these executions.
    • Pressuring the Iranian regime to immediately halt the death penalty, especially the execution of women.
    • Referring the case of gross human rights violations in Iran to the United Nations Security Council and other international bodies.

How This Campaign Works

  • Organizing exhibitions and information booths regarding the victims of executions and the scope of these atrocities.
  • Launching international campaigns, petition drives, and street rallies.
  • Holding specialized conferences and panels against the death penalty to inform and sensitize public opinion about the wave of executions and the conditions of death-row prisoners, to prevent their executions.
  • Dispatching specialized delegations to meet with political, parliamentary, and human rights figures to achieve the goal.
  • Organizing monitoring teams to track all online and offline media related to news from Iran, securing vital information on individuals executed or facing execution.
  • Producing educational content and documentation to expose these crimes and support international legal cases.
  • Expanding advocacy and information networks abroad.
