At the Free Iran Youth Gathering 2025, held on Saturday, October 25, with the wide participation of young supporters of the Iranian Resistance from Europe, the United States, Canada, and Australia—and connected live with simultaneous gatherings in Bonn, London, and Zurich—representatives of over 30 youth associations shared their visions for a free Iran.

On the eve of the anniversary of the November 2019 uprising, and in the presence of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, Samira Ardalan, speaking on behalf of the medical community and healthcare professionals, delivered the following remarks:

Greetings to dear Maryam Rajavi and to all esteemed friends gathered here today.

My name is Samira, and I am honored to speak before you on behalf of the Iranian medical community.

I was born in Italy into a family that was always aware of the political and human rights situation in Iran. Yet, for many years, I did not actively engage in political work.

During high school, as I studied the history of Europe and Italy, I found myself asking: When will Iran be free? And who will make it happen? I began searching for Iran’s partisans.

Finding the answer was not difficult. I found Iran’s brave partisans in the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) and the National Council of Resistance of Iran. I was deeply inspired by their honesty, their extraordinary spirit of sacrifice, and their tireless perseverance.

From our perspective, tomorrow’s Iran needs, above all, a generation of conscientious and compassionate doctors—like Dr. Shafaei, who was martyred in 1981 for his ideals, and like Dr. Aida Rostami, who was killed by the regime’s executioners.

We believe that no citizen should ever be deprived of medicine, healthcare, or treatment. Today, before all of you, we pledge to dedicate our time and our profession to serving our people.
